Anything is possible in Turkey, it´s just a case of finding the location.
From skiing ( major resorts being Kartalkaya accessible from Ankara and
Istanbul ), Uludag ( Bursa and Istanbul ) and Erciyes ( Kayseri, Cappadocia ) to paragliding down to Oludeniz's picturesque lagoon.
Whether you want to jump off a 6,000 foot mountain, try your luck white water rafting or diving it can all be found in Turkey.
Skiing
The facilities are being improved rapidly as developers begin to realize that there is money to made. The recognised ski season here is January to March but in reality there's often snow about in October or November. Equipment hire is possible at all venues and the most economic way to ski is to avoid the resort hotels. To ski on Mt. Erciyes, for example, you can stay in Kayseri and bus up and down the mountain every day. At Kartalkaya you could do the same from Bolu.
Boat Trips
Boat trips are a must here, whether for a day trip or for the ultimate trip a week on board a motor boat can be a great experience but it's probably best enjoyed with a group of friends and organised in advance.
Although not well known for its golf, Turkey is fast becoming the ideal resort due to of its culture and historical architecture. Many of the courses are situated to the south-west of the country between Antalaya and Side with five championship courses in the region. They are ideally situated as not only are there excellent courses, but also fantastic hotels and water sports for the whole family.
It is recommended that you take some time to explore the Belek region's history. There are many ancient ruins and mythical stories connected with the area. One favourite is the story of the monster Chimera, who spewed fire out of his mouth and lived in the mountains to the west of Antalaya.
