Torrox, a typical whitewashed town of some 12000 inhabitants, 45km. from Malaga ( less than hour by car to Malaga ) and 20km from Velez Malaga ( regional capital ). Located above it's seaside resort of Torrox Costa it is sheltered
sheltered from the Northern winds by the mountain range of the Almijara and Tejeda.
Torrox is proud of it's claim to have the best climate in Europe. Still largely escaping tourist development the townlife still continues in the Spanish way of life and have unmatched mountain and sea views. The town boasts a selection of typical Andalucian architecture like the Moorish Quarter and wine and raisin
presses as
well as important industrial architecture like the Sugar Factory.
In terms of property Torrox offers a wide range of opportunities from quaint townhouses close to the town square or " plaza " to larger villas with pools in the surrounding countryside.
