Situated just 12km east of Malaga with great access just off the motorway, Rincon
is very popular for those wishing to commute to Malaga. Combining it's proximity
to the capital with a location that, has seen rapid expansion recently, is still relatively quiet and home to the Spanish who have second homes in the area.
The town makes a perfect base for those who want to sample a more Spanish way of life
that an ex pat / tourist one. The municipality of Rincon includes the neighbour fishing village La Cala del Moral and the pretty inland village of Benagalbon.
Rapid expansion in the last few years has meant that with the influx of Spanish during the summer months services are streched, this of course does not effect surrounding areas as much.
The resident population of 26,600 inhabitants almost triples during this period.
The remainder of the year, Rincon retains a laid-back atmosphere, yet offers the tourist or resident an ever-wider choice of places to dine-out, tapear ( drink and tapa-bar crawl ) and dance the night away.
Rincon de la Victorias greatest asset is its lively urban sea front and beach. In addition there are large commercial centres close by making shopping very convenient. |
