Florida - Gulf Coast - Sarasota

Sarasota's circus-town roots are still clearly visible today. In the 1900s, John Ringling, founder of the Barnum and Bailey circus company, constructed an Italian palace called Cà d'Zan on a site where his circus once wintered. Today the palace is home to a circus museum as well as a theatre and art museum.

Art and Theatre are also thriving in downtown Sarasota and are complimented by the trendy restaurants that have given the town its reputation for fine dining.
